In folk tradition, paper-cutting has often served as the foundational template and pattern source for embroidery.Silhouetted structures and auspicious motifs are translated into pathways of thread and layers of color.Paper-cutting and embroidery are, in essence, interconnected visual languages.For this reason, I chose to reinterpret this chapter through embroidery and transform it into a stop-motion animation.By integrating the structural forms of paper-cutting into the texture of stitches, the outlines once cut from paper begin to grow across fabric.Through moving images, the mythical creatures are given motion and breath.
This marks the beginning of my 2026 project— an ongoing exploration that extends contemporary expression within the lineage of folk handcraft traditions.
在民间传统中，剪纸常常作为刺绣的底样与纹样来源。剪影结构与吉祥图案，被转译为针线的路径与色彩的层次。剪纸与刺绣，本就是彼此相连的语言。因此，这一次以刺绣演绎这一章节，并制作成定格动画。 将剪纸中的造型结构融入针脚肌理，让纸上的轮廓在布面上生长；再通过影像，让瑞兽拥有动作与呼吸。
这也成为我2026年的新项目起点—— 在民间手作的脉络里，继续延展属于当下的表达。
